About Your Practice

I loved helping people from a young age and I loved to sing. My high school vocal coach told me about music therapy. In my undergrad training, I feel in love with psychology and knew my calling would be to continue in my training to become a therapist. I wanted to engage people in their stories and help them understand what happened to them and how that has affected who they are. I also was hoping in my codependency at the time, that I could fix people’s problems and be their savior. I just didn’t know that was part of my motivation at 18 years old. My path to professional counseling was also my path to my own recovery and healing.

Chip Dodd and Phil Herndon, Robbie Hutchens, Chris Hilicki, Viktor Frankl, Albert Ellis (REBT), EE Cummings

We were created by a creator to be in relationship and share our stories with others. Grace, compassion, long suffering and the passion of Christ fuel me to invest in others to help them be who they were created to be and recover what was harmed and lost.

Favorites

I have a very eclectic love of music; U2, Chris Stapleton, Radiohead, Lizzo, Spice Girls.

In my 20’s I wouldn’t ever miss an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Just For Fun

When I was 14 years old, I made $50 being an elevator escort for one of the Mayor of Tulsa’s dinner parties.

I would ask my husband to cook and have my friends bring over the sides and desserts. However, I am beginning to enjoy cooking Paleo dishes.

Reading, anything on or near water, lifting weights, relaxing outside on my back porch, going to the movies, eating out to fancy restaurants and going out dancing.
